During his 6 years in public relations, Makowski has led rebranding initiatives, website redesigns, crisis communication campaigns, and other public relations projects. The first Lowcountry municipal-based podcast, Sharing With The Community: A Podcast from the Town of Kiawah Island, was also conceived and produced by Makowski.

Driven by a passion for effective communication and a commitment to the community, Makowski believes in the power of informed communities and is dedicated to finding the best ways to connect with residents. Whether through innovative use of technology or tried-and-true methods, he is committed to providing the highest level of service to the Summerville community.
